Automatic Central Lubrication Systems for the Food Packaging and Filling Industries
The FoodLine product group frmo BEKA fulfills all of the requirements for centralized lubrication systems in the packaging and filling industry.
Innovative dry lube systems put an end to high water consumption, hygienic problems and damaged packings.
Five basis packs – “The Compact”, “The Classic”, “The Individual”, “The Innovative” and “The Mobile” represent the optimum solution for each specific application.
With the FoodLine program, a wide range of applications in the packaging and filling industry can be served with lubricant, such as:
- Packaging Machines
- Labeling Machines
- Washing Machines
Disadvantages of Traditional Lubrication of the Conveyor Belts with Water and Soap
- High water consumption and high disposal costs
- High pollution with foam and slippery floors (workplace safety!)
- Belt vibrations (slip/stick) caused by a lack of lubrication
- Hygienic problems
- High friction forces between belt and conveyed materials
- Cardboard packaging materials are often damaged
- Corrosion and wear of components of the conveying belt
Advantages of FoodLine Dry Lube Technology
- No more high water consumption
- Dry floors = improved workplace safety
- Saves the packages
- Better and smoother running of the conveyor
- Reduction of microbiology
- No more problems with corrosion
- No more soap and foam
A FoodLine dry lubrication brings an end to these problems.
A special lubricant is applied precisely onto the conveyor, using a FoodLine DRY LUBE SYSTEM. This guarantees a very efficient lubrication which protects the conveyed packages and the conveying system.
System Operating Principle
After the system had been activated and after the adjusted break time, the 2/2 way solenoid valve is shut.
The internal gear pump supplies the lubricant with the adjusted pressure (pressure relief valve) into the main line. Caused by this pressure rise, the metering valves deliver the adjusted lubricant quantity to the oil brushes, which apply the lubricant directly onto the conveyor belt.
At a main line pressure of 16 bars, the pressure switch sends a signal to the controller and the adjusted after-lubricating time passes. After this time the 2/2 way solenoid valve opens, the pressure in the main line goes down and the metering valves reload for the next lubricating cycle.
The manometer into the housing door indicates the operating pressure of the system.
